COPPER'S STORY
Copper came to us in
bad shape, his fur matted and twisted down to the skin. His poor little feet
were matted so bad that air could not circulate around his paw pads and
maggots had begun to burrow into his feet. He had a very bad ear infection
as well as grass imbedded under his skin.
He is such a sweet
guy very patiently waiting while he was trimmed probably removing 10 pounds
of fur. Copper has a forever home now safe in the hearts of his adoptive
family, but you can imagine the turmoil they experienced when the
veterinarian told them he had a severe case of heartworms. The cost of this
is well over $400.00 and the Caring Hands Humane Society has agreed to help
with $270.50.
Copper has had his
first treatment for heartworm and is doing fine thanks to your generosity.
You too can help by donating to our Emergency Medical Fund. It is cases like
this that we need to establish the Emergency Medical Fund we have been
talking about, a fund that will give these animals from our community a new
leash on life.
YOU can be part
of the solution!!
